Requirements

  • Associate, vocational, or equivalent degree in biology, clinical lab science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or chemistry.
  • 3+ years of laboratory or field experience.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and provide directions via phone or email.
  • Previous troubleshooting experience on electromechanical instrumentation preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical technology call center or medical laboratory preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers through telephone, email, and video conference.
  • Resolve hardware, software, assay, and training-related calls for hematology and urinalysis systems.
  • Distinguish between hardware, reagent, and software issues to determine if remote resolution is possible or if a dispatch is required.
  • Mentor and provide peer assistance for routine troubleshooting.
  • Work 2nd shift hours with a start time between 10:00 AM-2:00 PM ET.
  • Work one weekend day and rotating holidays.
