Requirements
- Proven track record in B2B outside consultative sales and business development for industrial sites.
- Previous experience calling on plants in the power, pulp and paper, chemical, or petrochemical space, including maintenance, reliability, and plant managers.
- Previous utility and power experience is required.
- Experience with CRM software is required.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and sell complex solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Understanding of building codes, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, OSHA) and ability to read technical drawings.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time for client face-to-face meetings.
- BS Engineering degree is a plus.
- HRSG experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, business development, closing, and account management within the assigned New England territory.
- Identify customer pain points and collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop, scope, and budget technical solutions.
- Conduct site visits and face-to-face client meetings to provide consultation, service information, and recommendations.
- Maintain all sales funnel activity, metrics, and reporting within the company CRM.
- Execute sales strategies to meet revenue goals for power generation, utilities, and pulp and paper accounts.
- Represent the company through lunch and learns, customer presentations, industry conferences, and vendor fairs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform sales positioning.
