Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Department of Education Speech-Language Pathology Certificate.
  • Currently licensed in Arizona or willingness to obtain licensure.
  • Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for pediatric populations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in teletherapy (preferred).
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and assistive technology (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals.
  • Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings.
