Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an application support or similar technical role, preferably in financial services.
  • Experience supporting applications hosted on cloud platforms (specifically AWS).
  • 2+ years of experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting applications built on Java (Tomcat, JBoss) or .NET stack.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience, including building queries, joining tables, and creating stored procedures.
  • 2+ years of experience with rotating 24/7 on-call support.
  • Proficiency in ITIL processes (ITIL certification preferred).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience with Splunk or other APM tools.
  • Command Center or major incident management experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for production applications.
  • Monitor system health, respond to alerts, diagnose incidents, and drive timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Investigate data discrepancies using advanced SQL queries across various database platforms.
  • Perform health checks and assist with shakeouts for patches, upgrades, and new releases on AWS.
  • Develop and update knowledge base articles, runbooks, and operational guides.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for after-hours support and incident management.
  • Perform real-time incident coordination, root cause analysis, and post-mortem follow-ups.
