Requirements
- Master’s degree (MPH or equivalent) required; Doctorate level (MD, OD, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical or therapeutic experience in ophthalmology, retina diseases, and/or gene therapy.
- Experience in field-based scientific exchange and/or clinical trial support.
- Superior communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assimilate new clinical data quickly.
- Proactive problem-solving, project management, and medical writing skills.
- Ability to organize and lead high-level projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel 50-70% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Support clinical trial recruitment and site outreach while communicating feedback to internal teams.
- Serve as the field-based Medical Affairs representative to cultivate scientific relationships with KOLs.
- Develop and execute a customer-centric tactical engagement plan.
- Gather and share scientific insights to inform medical strategies.
- Address unsolicited medical questions regarding trials and investigational products.
- Provide clinical expertise for the development of educational materials and meeting presentations.
- Represent Medical Affairs at medical conferences and assist with strategy and competitive intelligence.
- Support patient advocacy conferences and outreach.
