Requirements

  • Master’s degree (MPH or equivalent) required; Doctorate level (MD, OD, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical or therapeutic experience in ophthalmology, retina diseases, and/or gene therapy.
  • Experience in field-based scientific exchange and/or clinical trial support.
  • Superior communication, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assimilate new clinical data quickly.
  • Proactive problem-solving, project management, and medical writing skills.
  • Ability to organize and lead high-level projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel 50-70% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical trial recruitment and site outreach while communicating feedback to internal teams.
  • Serve as the field-based Medical Affairs representative to cultivate scientific relationships with KOLs.
  • Develop and execute a customer-centric tactical engagement plan.
  • Gather and share scientific insights to inform medical strategies.
  • Address unsolicited medical questions regarding trials and investigational products.
  • Provide clinical expertise for the development of educational materials and meeting presentations.
  • Represent Medical Affairs at medical conferences and assist with strategy and competitive intelligence.
  • Support patient advocacy conferences and outreach.
