Requirements
- Proficiency in both Italian and English.
- Strong cultural understanding of the Italian market.
- 1–3 years of experience in translation, localization, or related language services (game localization preferred).
- Solid command of CAT tools such as memoQ, Trados, or XTM.
- Familiarity with workflow platforms like JIRA or Plunet.
- Excellent linguistic accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage independent tasks effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to feedback.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines.
- Must be located within the UK.
- Ability to work on a fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
- Translate in-game text, UI, legal documents, and supporting materials according to client guidelines and terminology.
- Perform editorial tasks including revision and review to ensure linguistic accuracy and natural flow.
- Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and character profiles.
- Meet project deadlines and productivity targets within the localization pipeline.
- Collaborate with fellow translators to ensure cohesion and logical content flow.
- Identify and resolve localization issues and bugs found during testing.
- Utilize translation and project management tools like memoQ and JIRA to maintain workflow visibility.
- Assist in onboarding new translators and supporting candidate test evaluations.
