Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Commit to a minimum of 12 weeks of internship ending by August 31, 2026.
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.
- Reside in the state corresponding to the assigned newsroom.
- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and multitask effectively.
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities with flexibility and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to local news coverage within assigned state newsrooms.
- Engage audiences across various digital media platforms.
- Assist in shaping outreach efforts to Gen Z and local communities.
- Collaborate with newsroom teams on innovative problem-solving initiatives.
- Produce content for video, graphic design, and digital newsletters.
- Work alongside professional reporters to gain industry skills.
