Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering or architecture.
- Deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems, cloud architectures, and modern application platforms.
- Proven experience architecting regulated or high-reliability systems, preferably within medical or health tech domains.
- Mastery of architectural domains including microservices, event-driven systems, data pipelines, and observability.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps/SRE practices and cloud-native technologies.
- Exceptional ability to influence executive teams and communicate complex technical concepts in business-relevant terms.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as FDA, EU MDR, IEC 62304, or HIPAA is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platform architecture and model deployment.
- Experience with healthcare data standards like FHIR or HL7 is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define the multiyear architecture strategy for product software systems spanning cloud, application, data, and ML/AI infrastructure.
- Establish architectural principles, reference architectures, and guardrails to support reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead cross-functional architecture forums and governance processes to ensure consistent patterns and decision-making.
- Partner with product management to translate business needs into scalable technical strategies and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with security, privacy, regulatory, quality, and clinical teams to ensure designs meet medical device standards.
- Provide architectural oversight throughout the SDLC from concept to release.
- Mentor engineering leads and architects to drive standardization and technical excellence.
