Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of professional experience in operations related to procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or buying.
- Experience in American fashion and apparel with the ability to identify trends and evaluate product fit.
- Ability to analyze product fit based on customer demographic and specific use-case.
- Strong research instincts and persistence in identifying high-quality options.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including CRM systems, knowledge bases, and spreadsheets.
- Background in fashion buying or retail merchandising is a plus.
- Familiarity with wholesale apparel suppliers is a plus.
- Experience sourcing from overseas manufacturers or platforms like Alibaba is a plus.
- Knowledge of promotional products such as drinkware, bags, and stationery is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Respond to product sourcing requests from the sales team by finding options across domestic and overseas manufacturers.
- Evaluate recommendations based on product fit, aesthetics, demographics, and intended use-case.
- Build and maintain a supplier knowledge base, documenting brand strengths and product specializations.
- Conduct regular market research on brands, trends, and retail aesthetics to align with customer needs.
- Identify recurring product gaps and proactively suggest solutions.
- Document sourcing knowledge to streamline future requests.
- Support outreach to new domestic and international suppliers to expand product categories.
