Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Significant experience architecting DO-178C compliant software (DAL A experience preferred).
- Background working in an engineering services or supplier delivery environment.
- Proven ability to lead software architecture across multiple teams and programs.
- Solid embedded software foundation, specifically C/C++ in avionics-type environments.
- Experience working directly with customers on regulated aerospace programs.
- Understanding of ARP4754A system allocations and safety assessments.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact between engineering teams and customer leadership.
- Define and lead software architecture for embedded, real-time, high-assurance systems.
- Translate requirements, contract scope, and certification constraints into clear technical strategies.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance across multiple scrum teams and programs.
- Lead design reviews, interface reviews, and technical quality checks to ensure solution consistency.
- Develop certification and compliance strategies, including PSAC inputs and traceability approaches.
- Identify architectural risks and implement mitigation plans aligned with program milestones.
