Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong presentation skills tailored for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Deep understanding of the data intelligence workflow, including source systems, ETL, and analytics tools.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics.
  • Proven track record selling data or analytics software to enterprise customers.
  • Experience with relational and large-scale analytics database technology (e.g., Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools such as PowerBI, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of large-scale IaaS platforms including Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience implementing ETL pipelines and supporting enterprise SaaS software.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical guide with a focus on Data Governance, Catalog, and Observability.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify and close new business opportunities.
  • Provide strategic pre-sales support including needs analysis, technology review, and requirements definition.
  • Create and deliver product presentations and demonstrations for diverse technical and executive audiences.
  • Manage and execute proof-of-concept projects in competitive environments.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitive technologies to effectively position Actian products.
  • Act as a customer advocate and liaison for Product Management and Engineering teams.
