Requirements
- Strong, confident English skills to explain technical ideas to engineers and non-technical clients.
- Working proficiency in Python.
- Solid grasp of integration concepts including REST APIs, authentication flows, and JSON transformation.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging instincts.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line tools.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Ability to learn new tools and domains quickly.
- Systems thinking aptitude to map and connect end-to-end processes.
- Nice to have: Experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Nice to have: Experience building or maintaining Airflow / Amazon MWAA DAGs.
- Nice to have: PHP development experience.
- Nice to have: Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Nice to have: Background in Agile environments or SaaS product companies.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with AI development including LLM APIs, prompt design, and MCP.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations between Symplicity products and third-party systems, using Python and REST APIs.
- Produce code using AI-assisted development tools, including effective prompting and code review.
- Read, transform, and validate JSON payloads and design clean data flows.
- Map client processes end-to-end and turn understanding into working integrations.
- Work directly with university clients across multiple regions.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot integrations in production environments.
- Document work clearly for clients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with Professional Services, product, and engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
