Requirements

  • Master's degree required; PhD or MD in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience in evidence generation and Outcomes Research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in observational study design, patient-reported outcomes, clinical-economic modeling, and meta-analysis.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical drug development, registration, commercialization, and market access processes.
  • Proven ability to manage large and global datasets and perform complex data analyses.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Technical expertise in study protocol development, statistical analysis plans (SAPs), and methods.
  • Strong record of peer-reviewed real-world evidence or epidemiology research publications.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute US and global cross-functional evidence generation plans to support medical affairs, clinical development, market access, and regulatory needs.
  • Design and execute retrospective and prospective observational studies to evaluate disease impact and product effectiveness.
  • Lead comparative studies, including Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) and Indirect Treatment Comparisons (ITC).
  • Direct literature reviews and meta-analyses to inform decision-making and support HTA dossier submissions.
  • Integrate patient-reported outcomes into clinical trials and oversee patient survey designs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external healthcare systems to ensure alignment of outcomes research initiatives with company goals.
  • Communicate scientific findings to senior leadership and the broader scientific community through peer-reviewed publications and congresses.
  • Manage the selection and use of real-world data sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and adherence to ethical standards.
