Requirements
- Real-world experience building Kubernetes controllers and operators.
- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes API machinery and core controllers.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for cloud infrastructure.
- Comfort with container technologies and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience managing systems at scale.
- Ability to articulate complex technical problems and propose iterative solutions.
- Pragmatic and collaborative mindset focused on shipping quality software.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Track record of open source contributions in the cloud-native space (plus).
- Experience with CNCF projects or Kubernetes ecosystem tools (highly desirable).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain upstream kcp projects under the CNCF umbrella.
- Design and implement Kubernetes controllers and operators for multi-tenant platforms.
- Write secure, well-tested, and performant code meeting production standards.
- Implement CI/CD automation and end-to-end testing workflows.
- Engage with the CNCF community and contribute to project roadmaps.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for distributed systems.
- Contribute to the Kubermatic Developer Platform.
