Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Good knowledge of Python, including scripting, data structures, and coding style guides.
- Familiarity with SQL, including writing queries, understanding joins, and reading schemas.
- Experience working with cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts like ETL/ELT, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to follow through on tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute well-defined data engineering tasks including data modeling, ingestion scripts, and updates.
- Orchestrate data flow through the medallion lakehouse architecture (Landing-Bronze-Silver-Gold).
- Deploy, execute, and monitor data jobs, responding to failures via established runbooks.
- Write robust Python and SQL code following team conventions and documentation standards.
- Implement unit tests and perform constructive code reviews.
- Collaborate with Analytics, MLE, and Product stakeholders to understand data usage and improve service.
- Document technical builds and share learnings with the team.
