Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of calibration problems, including sensor fusion, posing, modeling, and quality evaluation.
  • Understanding of sensor hardware, modeling assumptions, and root-cause analysis for calibration issues.
  • Experience developing production-quality software beyond prototypes.
  • Proficiency in native languages such as C++ or Rust.
  • Experience with Python interop.
  • Knowledge of classical algorithms such as ICP, RQE, SLAM, and visual/radar odometry.
  • Knowledge of learning-based approaches such as NeRF and 3D Splatting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable systems to produce fast, accurate calibration for camera, lidar, radar, IMU, and GNSS sensor modalities.
  • Develop next-generation calibration algorithms using classical and learning-based 3D geometry approaches.
  • Design and implement real-time calibration integrity monitoring algorithms for a diverse fleet of vehicles.
  • Coordinate the large-scale deployment of calibration systems for the entire autonomous vehicle fleet.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to deliver robust, compute-efficient, and safety-critical solutions.
