Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, water resources, or environmental engineering.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation required.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in Water Resources or Hydrotechnical Engineering.
- Experience in an environmental or project consulting setting.
- Proficiency in water resources software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and GoldSim.
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Post-graduate education is considered a desired qualification.
Responsibilities
- Provide hydrology, hydraulics and water resource engineering input for environmental baseline, water management, water treatment, permitting, and remediation projects.
- Prepare and provide senior review of detailed technical reports, drawings, specifications and correspondence.
- Develop hydrological conceptual site models and hydraulic modelling for water bodies and infrastructure.
- Develop site specific water balance models for integration into GoldSim models.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including modelers, hydrogeologists, and GIS specialists.
- Mentor intermediate and junior staff in hydrotechnical and water resource engineering.
- Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for engineering tasks.
- Travel to work sites to interface with on-site staff, clients, and regulatory personnel.
