Requirements
- Must be a DoD SkillBridge Participant.
- Background in engineering, maintenance, construction, or technical military specialties.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Detail-oriented and tech-friendly (iPad/Microsoft Office proficiency).
- Must be able to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Physically able to climb ladders and stairs for inspections.
- Commitment to a 12-16 week internship program.
- Interested in a career path in facility management, building consulting, or facilities engineering.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site building inspections and condition assessments using mobile software.
- Evaluate major building systems, structures, interiors, exteriors, and pavements.
- Analyze space utilization and document observations with photos.
- Identify system types, conditions, and remaining useful life.
- Recommend repairs or replacements with planning-level cost estimates.
- Participate in full field immersion, shadowing, and weekly check-ins.
