Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Active MBI clearance with the IRS.
- PMP or CSM certification.
- Experience leading small to medium technical projects at the IRS.
- Knowledge of project methodologies including Agile, DevOps, PMP, and ITILv4.
- Proficiency with PM tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Experience supporting mixed technology environments (Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris).
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall management of assigned technology projects supporting corporate transformation and business operations.
- Direct and oversee the full implementation lifecycle of small to medium projects.
- Interface regularly with IT engineering, management, and stakeholders to ensure delivery speed and transparency.
- Meet client-approved master schedules and motivate team members to complete work efficiently.
- Serve as the primary contact between technical teams, upstream managers, and external clients.
- Manage daily tasks for internal and vendor-managed project team members.
- Prepare project lifecycle documentation including project plans, SOPs, and risk management plans.
- Track costs, schedules, and performance to ensure projects stay within budget and meet quality standards.
