Requirements
- Extensive experience in production networking environments.
- Strong expertise in BGP, routing policies, traffic engineering, and failover mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with IPsec VPNs and site-to-site connectivity.
- Deep Linux networking knowledge (iproute2, tcpdump, nftables/iptables, conntrack).
- Understanding of datacenter networking (VLANs, LACP, switching, firewalls).
- Experience with cloud networking (VPC/VNet, routing, security groups, NAT).
- Kubernetes networking knowledge (CNI, service networking, ingress, network policies).
- Experience with network observability, performance analysis, and telemetry.
- Familiarity with network security practices and firewall management.
- Ability to automate infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, and APIs.
- Strong written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate cross-data-center and cloud network connectivity using BGP, IPsec, routing policies, firewalling, DNS, and provider networking.
- Build and maintain resilient networking across cloud, Kubernetes/Talos, OpenNebula, and bare-metal environments.
- Own end-to-end network change lifecycle including design, risk analysis, implementation, validation, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production networking issues involving Linux networking, routing, VPNs, and packet-level behavior.
- Improve network automation and observability through Git-based workflows, scripting, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation including topology diagrams, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to ensure scalable and efficient network operations.
