- Passion for thought leadership, service journalism, and storytelling on behalf of brands
- Demonstrated ability to research and brainstorm themes and messaging that align with client goals
- Strong understanding of how to translate brand messaging into stories that feel relevant to local audiences
- Ability to work across multiple markets, industries, and campaign types
- Experience writing for newsletters, websites, event materials, and social platforms
- Strong editorial judgment
- Comfort with live interviews
- Familiarity working on small creative teams
- AI literacy and ability to use AI tools for productivity
Responsibilities
- Develop branded content for Axios’ local advertising partners.
- Build and maintain thought leadership, community-based, and brand marketing campaigns.
- Draft content using the Smart Brevity style.
- Conduct research on local issues, industries, and communities.
- Create native branded content for websites, newsletters, and events.
- Collaborate across multiple markets and industries.
- Identify audience-relevant angles within sponsor messages.
- Conduct live interviews for content production.
