Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant post-graduate experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience
- Strong background in the electric utility sector, with deep knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards in Canada and/or the United States
- Experience working with or within regulatory bodies such as NERC, ISO, Regional Entities, utilities, or compliance monitoring organizations
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, operational compliance, and critical infrastructure protection
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in fast-paced, client-facing environments
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to deliver executive-level presentations and written reports
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to regulatory detail
- Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with senior stakeholders and industry partners
Responsibilities
- Lead and support client engagements focused on cybersecurity, risk management, and NERC compliance within the Canadian electric utility sector
- Drive the execution of project workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery, stakeholder alignment, and achievement of engagement objectives
- Conduct assessments of NERC compliance programs, internal controls, and operational processes, identifying gaps and recommending improvements
- Support business development activities by cultivating client relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to proposals and presentations
- Collaborate with internal experts and client stakeholders to design and implement compliance strategies and operational enhancements
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and advisory materials to senior client and executive audiences
- Support regulatory audits, fact-finding exercises, and risk analysis initiatives tied to critical infrastructure and reliability standards
- Mentor and guide junior consultants while ensuring consistent quality across deliverables
