Requirements
- Strong knowledge of financial regulation, including laws, resolutions, and supervisory frameworks applicable to financial institutions and cooperatives.
- Experience in compliance roles within financial services or regulated environments.
- Ability to interpret legal and regulatory texts and produce clear, structured compliance reports and opinions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Power BI).
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to defend and communicate technical positions diplomatically.
- Ability to manage conflicts of interest and facilitate alignment among stakeholders.
- Experience supporting group discussions, governance forums, or compliance-related ceremonies.
- Strong written communication skills with clarity and conciseness.
- Postgraduate degree completed.
- Certifications in ISO 19600 and/or ISO 37001 are a plus.
- Additional compliance certifications (especially in financial compliance) are a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and maintain compliance policies, standards, and internal governance documents in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure institutional adherence to applicable laws, resolutions, and supervisory guidelines.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to leadership, directors, and internal teams on compliance and regulatory matters.
- Prepare technical opinions and reports to assess compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Structure, manage, and continuously improve the organization’s compliance program and related processes.
- Oversee compliance reporting activities and ensure accurate documentation aligned with governance standards.
- Manage the whistleblowing channel, supporting investigations, diligences, and integrity-related procedures.
- Participate in the approval process of new products, services, and partnerships from a compliance perspective.
- Identify, assess, and monitor compliance risks, ensuring regulatory adherence across business activities.
- Promote and strengthen a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organization.
- Maintain transparent and ethical relationships with regulators, auditors, and external oversight bodies.
