Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance roles
- Strong understanding of U.S. multi-state sales and use tax regulations
- Hands-on experience with tax reconciliations, workpapers, and close-cycle accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to research complex tax issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Self-starter mindset
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of indirect tax filings and supporting workpapers for U.S. sales and use tax compliance
- Prepare, review, and maintain sales and use tax account reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting activities, including journal entries and tax-related schedules
- Manage and support tax audits, notices, and inquiries
- Maintain accurate tax records and compliance trackers
- Monitor changes in state and local tax legislation and assess impact
- Research indirect tax implications for new products and business initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally to embed tax requirements into operational workflows
- Support tax system testing, including UAT and validation of tax engine outputs
- Identify discrepancies in tax calculations through data analysis
