Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems or internet-scale backend systems
- Strong programming experience in Go, Python, Java, or C++
- Proven track record of technical leadership and influencing engineering direction
- Deep experience designing APIs and high-throughput backend systems
- Ability to work in complex systems involving modern and legacy codebases
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and reliability engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, evolution, and optimization of large-scale content platform systems
- Design, build, and optimize distributed systems for scalability, reliability, and performance
- Develop backend services primarily in Go and Python
- Own and evolve the architecture of content platform services and legacy systems
- Identify architectural gaps and lead redesign initiatives
- Collaborate with infrastructure, product, storage, and ranking teams
- Mentor and guide engineers, providing design reviews and best practices
- Drive cross-functional alignment on technical decisions
