Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering, network infrastructure, OSP/ISP design, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering or field deployment teams in large-scale infrastructure programs.
- Proven experience delivering communications or network modernization projects within defense, federal, or large enterprise environments.
- Strong background in fiber optic systems, OSP construction, telecom room infrastructure, and field installation practices.
- Experience managing subcontractors, field crews, and distributed engineering teams in high-complexity environments.
- Familiarity with defense installation processes and standards, including Air Force and Space Force infrastructure requirements.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain it.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75–100%) to field sites including remote and high-security locations.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate OSP/ISP fiber, telecommunications closet, and distribution system engineering teams across multiple field sites, ensuring integrated execution and alignment of technical deliverables.
- Manage subcontractors and agency personnel, providing daily direction, performance oversight, quality assurance, and resolution of field issues and conflicts.
- Serve as the primary engineering liaison with government stakeholders, coordinating requirements, access, scheduling, and operational constraints.
- Oversee validation of engineering outputs including designs, drawings, reports, risk assessments, and installation documentation.
- Lead technical reviews, site planning sessions, and strategic execution decisions for distribution system deployments.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate engineering, construction, and integration risks across complex telecom environments.
- Ensure adherence to defense and federal infrastructure standards including AF/SF, TIA/EIA, UFC, and related communications requirements.
- Support program leadership with reporting, execution planning, and field performance tracking across multiple concurrent initiatives.
