Requirements
- 3+ years of property claims experience
- Proficiency in estimating skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Empathetic interpersonal skills
- Active adjuster license in home state or non-resident license
- Ability to meet licensing requirements in additional states as needed
Responsibilities
- Investigate and document property claims
- Review policies and conduct recorded statements
- Assign inspections and update reserves
- Prepare or review damage estimates
- Negotiate settlements with customers, contractors, and public adjusters
- Communicate claim updates and decisions verbally and in writing
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Act as a resource for less experienced staff
- Support catastrophe response including potential overtime and deployment
