Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive People/HR experience.
  • At least 5 years in an executive-level leadership role.
  • Success leading organizational change and stabilizing HR departments.
  • Direct experience working within unionized environments and managing collective bargaining agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and lead mission-driven employee bases.
  • Experience developing management frameworks for high-stress, 24/7, shift-based environments.
  • Deep empathy and cultural competency regarding LGBTQ+ and marginalized communities.
  • Success managing culture and performance in entirely distributed, remote teams.
  • Strong balance of high-level strategy and operational/foundational HR infrastructure building.
  • Ability to integrate DEIB practices into the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Set the overarching vision for a modern, remote people and culture strategy.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO on organizational design and change management.
  • Direct and mentor the People team with a focus on accountability and data-informed execution.
  • Design and execute internal engagement strategies to cultivate staff trust.
  • Embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging frameworks into all organizational systems.
  • Manage labor relations and collective bargaining agreements in partnership with General Counsel.
  • Create professional development pipelines for staff and first-time managers.
  • Rebuild and stabilize essential HR infrastructure including payroll and total rewards.
  • Optimize the People function budget and operational workflows.
