Requirements
- 10–15 years of progressive People/HR experience.
- At least 5 years in an executive-level leadership role.
- Success leading organizational change and stabilizing HR departments.
- Direct experience working within unionized environments and managing collective bargaining agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and lead mission-driven employee bases.
- Experience developing management frameworks for high-stress, 24/7, shift-based environments.
- Deep empathy and cultural competency regarding LGBTQ+ and marginalized communities.
- Success managing culture and performance in entirely distributed, remote teams.
- Strong balance of high-level strategy and operational/foundational HR infrastructure building.
- Ability to integrate DEIB practices into the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Set the overarching vision for a modern, remote people and culture strategy.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO on organizational design and change management.
- Direct and mentor the People team with a focus on accountability and data-informed execution.
- Design and execute internal engagement strategies to cultivate staff trust.
- Embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging frameworks into all organizational systems.
- Manage labor relations and collective bargaining agreements in partnership with General Counsel.
- Create professional development pipelines for staff and first-time managers.
- Rebuild and stabilize essential HR infrastructure including payroll and total rewards.
- Optimize the People function budget and operational workflows.
