Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a cybersecurity role or related IT security field.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in security tools such as SIEMs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Hands-on experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, encryption, and other security measures.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing detailed reports and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and update security policies, protocols, and procedures in compliance with industry standards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and consultants on security audits and assessments.
- Ensure systems and software are updated with the latest security patches and fixes.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts.
