Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial contract furniture dealership or interior design firm.
  • Advanced proficiency in Configura CET Designer and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with major furniture brands like Kimball, Steelcase, Herman Miller, or Haworth.
  • Proven track record of managing project workflows and coordinating technical information.
  • Deep technical understanding of contract furniture systems and electrical/data feeds.
  • Familiarity with quote generation tools such as ProjectMatrix or Hedberg.
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance, LEED, and WELL Building Standards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Post-secondary credentials in Interior Design, Architectural Design Technology, or Drafting.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Managers to develop high-quality space plans, typicals, and installation drawings using CET Designer and AutoCAD.
  • Own the design timeline for multiple concurrent accounts; track deliverables and ensure critical milestones are met.
  • Generate precise bills of materials and value-engineer furniture selections against budget constraints.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, vendors, and installation teams.
  • Maintain meticulous project records including design revisions and architectural change orders.
  • Ensure layouts adhere to local building codes, ADA compliance, and electrical integration standards.
