Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Software Developer
- Track record of owning ambiguous, multi-step projects end-to-end
- Strong Python and Django expertise
- PostgreSQL expertise including schema design and query optimization
- Experience with distributed systems, async queues, and events
- Proven impact in large or evolving codebases and system modernization
- Production mindset with experience in on-call and incident response
- Technical leadership experience in migrations or architecture decisions
- Clear written and verbal communication through design docs and RFCs
- Preferred: Strong frontend development with TypeScript and React
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve core systems for freight brokerage operations and related services.
- Lead technical initiatives across several Python/Django services.
- Build and maintain user-facing work in the freight brokerage web application using TypeScript and React.
- Drive platform and reliability work including database upgrades and performance tuning.
- Ship high-impact product and revenue work such as pricing integrations and compliance flows.
- Define engineering standards including ADRs, test patterns, and code review culture.
- Operate production systems including incident response and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product teams on discovery and requirements framing.
- Mentor and level up teammates through pairing and design review.
