Requirements
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience in a customer service environment.
- Working experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent quality customer service to members and/or providers.
- Handle calls to and from providers regarding authorizations, referrals, visits, and tests.
- Manage requests regarding initial authorizations and updates.
- Complete member and provider notification calls.
- Escalate calls to appropriate departments.
- Manage a large volume of tasks and caseloads from multiple queues.
- Document accurate member information in compliance with procedures.
- Ensure member and provider issues are addressed timely and accurately.
- Monitor screening of members to improve quality and cost outcomes.
- Maintain PHI confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and internal regulations.
