Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3-4 years of experience preferably with a public accounting/private accounting mix
- Experience with one or more complex areas of accounting (revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations or investments)
- Experience leveraging automation, AI tools, or advanced technology solutions
- Ability to read and analyze financial statements/reports
- Comfort with ambiguity and lack of formally defined processes
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Comfort working in a fully remote setting
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations
- Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements
- Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit
- Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations
- Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting
- Assist accounting leadership as needed
