Requirements
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining backend services for high-throughput, business-critical workloads (payments, subscriptions, or financial systems).
- Proficiency with databases, APIs, and maintaining data integrity and security in production environments.
- Strong skills in communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical cross-functional partners.
- Curiosity and systems thinking approach, balancing technical excellence with business impact.
- Experience with subscription platforms, billing systems, or payment providers (e.g., Stripe, RevenueCat, Adapty, Apple/Google IAP).
- Familiarity with analytics pipelines, experimentation frameworks, or feature flagging systems.
- Experience with mobile backend integration or cross-platform monetisation flows (iOS, Android, web).
- Mentorship or technical leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive outcomes, not just features by owning the health of the monetisation funnel.
- Design and maintain scalable backend systems supporting subscriptions, billing, entitlements, pricing logic, and promotions.
- Ensure high reliability and correctness of monetisation flows to minimise revenue-impacting incidents.
- Support faster experimentation through feature flags, testing, and analytics instrumentation.
- Build and maintain analytics and reporting capabilities in partnership with the Data team.
