Requirements

- Proven work experience as a SQL Database Administrator with a focus on performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including the latest versions.
- Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database issues effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze performance bottlenecks in SQL Server databases.
- Develop and implement strategies for query optimization, index optimization, and overall database performance enhancement.
- Monitor database performance proactively and make recommendations for improvements.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backup and recovery, index maintenance, and statistics updates.
- Ensure data integrity and reliability through routine checks and preventive measures.
- Implement best practices for database security and access control.
- Investigate and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with application developers and other teams to troubleshoot performance-related problems.
- Monitor database growth and plan for scalability as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
