- 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
- 1+ year of work experience in the industry or advanced research
- Must pass USPTO background check
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Proficiency with computer hardware and secure, high-speed internet
- Previous patent examining or searching experience preferred
- Skilled in search methodology development
- Strong time management skills
Responsibilities
- Accept projects with defined due dates on a weekly basis
- Read and understand technical nuances of disclosures
- Perform comprehensive searches for prior art
- Prepare written opinions on patentability
- Maintain proficiency with patent searching databases
- Stay abreast of best practices and search procedure changes
- Maintain timeliness and quality of deliverables
- Ensure compliance with Code of Business Ethics
