Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, IT, Computer Science, Health Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years experience in health IT/informatics, with at least 3 years specialized experience.
- Experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, UAT, and system documentation.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Experience with federal health agencies like VHA, CDC, or CMS (preferred).
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one (preferred).
- Familiarity with requirements management tools like JIRA.
- Knowledge of clinical data standards like HL7, FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC, or ICD-10.
- Familiarity with EHR systems or health information exchange (HIE) platforms.
- Proficiency with process modeling notations like BPMN or UML.
Responsibilities
- Conduct requirements elicitation sessions with clinical and operational stakeholders.
- Perform requirements analysis and traceability from needs to system specifications.
- Develop requirements documentation, user stories, use cases, and process models.
- Conduct information modeling including data flow diagrams and entity-relationship models.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), test scripts, and defect tracking.
- Maintain documentation for systems capturing or standardizing clinical data.
- Liaise between clinical subject matter experts and technical development teams.
- Support continuous system improvement by evaluating processes.
- Assist in the development of training materials and SOPs.
- Participate in project status reviews and deliverable reviews.
