Requirements
- University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in translation/localization/editing or content writing
- 2+ years of review experience
- Native-level fluency in Norwegian
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Experience as a translator in Mobile Apps, Search Engines, IT, Marketing, Software UI, or Websites
- Excellent knowledge of terminology in IT consumer products, social media, and entertainment
- Thorough understanding of the localization process
- Proficiency in standard software and CAT tools (e.g., XTM, SDL Studio)
- Familiarity with issue tracking and query management tools (e.g., JIRA)
Responsibilities
- Performing copy-edit tasks on assigned projects or accounts
- Performing on-demand translation tasks
- Performing lead support on assigned projects or accounts
- Managing and maintaining language materials including glossaries and style guides
- Managing project-related queries and team interaction
- Testing and qualifying new freelancers and vendors
- Developing and training internal and external linguists
- Interacting with clients on linguistic matters
- Participating in the development of new and improved working processes
