Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in privacy, compliance, healthcare operations, information governance, risk management, cybersecurity, or a related analytical field.
- Working knowledge of privacy principles, data protection standards, and regulatory expectations (HIPAA knowledge preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience producing structured documentation such as reports, case notes, or policy-related materials.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Comfort working with digital tools, case management systems, spreadsheets, and reporting dashboards.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and data-driven privacy solutions.
- Willingness to pursue or obtain privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPM, CHPC or equivalent).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
- Support privacy incident and breach investigations involving protected health information.
- Assist in determining scope, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate records of privacy incidents, logs, and compliance trackers.
- Conduct privacy risk reviews of workflows, data flows, and technology use cases.
- Support privacy operations activities including issue tracking, reporting, and case management.
- Contribute to privacy risk assessments, audits, and regulatory response preparation.
- Help develop and improve privacy documentation, policies, and training materials.
- Track regulatory and industry developments and summarize implications.
- Identify trends and recurring privacy issues and escalate to senior team members.
