Requirements
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in modern cloud data environments.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake (performance tuning, Snowpipe, optimization).
- 2+ years working with dbt in production environments.
- Experience with healthcare data (ICD-10, NPI, NDC codes, claims data).
- Production experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
- Strong SQL proficiency for complex query performance debugging.
- Python proficiency for data processing and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Bronze/Silver layer pipelines to ensure data accuracy and lineage.
- Own end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment, including deduplication and standardization.
- Develop automated ingestion pipelines using tools like Snowpipe or Matillion.
- Implement dbt models following medallion architecture patterns.
- Create reusable engineering templates, macros, and testing frameworks.
- Implement data quality checks, freshness monitoring, and anomaly detection.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and participate in ADRs.
