Requirements
- Undergrad degree; Masters or PhD in engineering preferred.
- 7+ years of automotive, robotics, aerospace or related industry experience.
- Experience with requirements and metrics for driving behavior evaluations.
- Experience with building complex driving behavior scenarios.
- Experience with methods and standards such as STPA, SOTIF (ISO 21448) and/or UL 4600.
- Strong fundamentals in mathematics, engineering and physics.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts or data accurately.
- Excellent data analysis skills with modern tools such as Python or Matlab.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own the creation, documentation, alignment and verification of all behavioral system requirements.
- Act as a central point of contact at Waabi for all matters related to behavioral requirements and scenario sets.
- Drive Waabi’s safety culture through application of safety standards including STPA, SOTIF, and UL 4600.
- Define necessary improvements for the simulator to effectively verify driving behaviors.
- Own the concept for documentation and linkage of product requirements, system requirements, and tests.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance behavioral evaluation capabilities.
- Implement tools and methodologies to streamline and automate behavioral requirement processes.
- Work with external partners on gathering data related to driving behaviors.
