Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) required or FE on path to PE
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the electric utility industry
- Experience in utility substation engineering (electrical or physical design focus)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (a plus)
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to meet critical project deadlines
- Outgoing team player personality
Responsibilities
- Perform Substation General Arrangement and Control House Layout
- Develop plans, sections, and material lists
- Design grounding, lightning protection, and conduit/trench layouts
- Prepare technical studies and calculations (voltage drop, AC/DC load studies)
- Coordinate with Protection Control and Civil/Structural disciplines
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering and design team
- Perform quality control and assurance reviews
- Manage project support from scoping to final design and closeout
- Provide construction support and maintain strong client focus
