Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven track record in senior or staff-level roles.
- Deep backend expertise on the JVM (Kotlin preferred, Java/Scala accepted).
- Proficiency in TypeScript for building frontend interfaces (React, Angular).
- Solid cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, VPC, IAM, RDS).
- Strong architectural judgment and experience designing non-trivial systems.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK.
- Background in regulated or transactional domains like fintech or healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the core platform for a 401(k) administration system.
- Own end-to-end vertical slices including AWS infrastructure, backend services, and frontend UI.
- Act as a thought partner on architectural decisions like IaC and data modeling.
- Interview domain experts to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Implement and lead AI-native engineering workflows using tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
