Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience in enterprise controls, operational risk, internal controls, or internal audit
- Proven experience building or upgrading controls in high-growth startups or fintech environments
- Deep expertise in process mapping and SOP development
- Strong understanding of COSO internal control frameworks
- Ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority
- Strategic and hands-on mentality
- Experience in regulated environments, lending, or payments strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and build of the company’s enterprise control framework across key business and operational processes
- Assess existing workflows and identify control gaps, failure points, and operational risks
- Map end-to-end processes and translate them into scalable control points and procedures
- Design preventive, detective, and monitoring controls that are practical and auditable
- Develop and formalize SOPs, control documentation, and ownership structures
- Partner across Risk, Product, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Tech to embed controls
- Drive control implementation including stakeholder alignment and training
- Establish governance around control execution, issue tracking, and remediation
