- Deep understanding of distributed systems and trade-offs
- Experience handling failure scenarios in production
- Good experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code
- Track record of technology decisions driving business outcomes
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers
- Ability to translate between technical and business languages

- Design with customer empathy
