Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing MS SQL Server in production environments.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server monitoring, jobs, backup/recovery, replication, and Availability Groups.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving performance and availability issues.
- Knowledge of database design concepts like partitioning and in-memory tables.
- Exposure to other database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CockroachDB).
- Experience working with cloud environments (preferably Azure).
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab workflows.
- Fluent in English.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and support MS SQL Server environments, including high-availability setups.
- Troubleshoot performance and availability problems to identify and resolve root causes.
- Handle tuning, indexing, and automation to improve database efficiency.
- Manage backup and recovery processes to guarantee data integrity.
- Apply patches, manage upgrades, and enforce database security best practices.
- Respond to incidents and support requests.
- Contribute to projects involving other database systems.
- Support and optimize cloud-based database environments (Azure).
