Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of customer service experience.
- Collection experience is preferred.
- Proficient PC knowledge.
- Ability to type 30-40 wpm.
- Ability to communicate effectively in remote virtual chat environments.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to stay on task with little or no management supervision.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Maneuver between several different software systems documenting account history.
- Maintain a confidential and orderly remote work area.
- Assist with obtaining and updating debtors contact information.
- Answer inbound calls from patients regarding payment assistance.
- Place outbound calls to patients to resolve outstanding medical bills.
- Negotiate payment arrangements within specific hospital or physician guidelines.
- Work within a virtual team to accomplish productivity and collection goals.
- Maintain compliance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and federal collection laws.
