Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Collection experience is preferred.
  • Proficient PC knowledge.
  • Ability to type 30-40 wpm.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in remote virtual chat environments.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to stay on task with little or no management supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maneuver between several different software systems documenting account history.
  • Maintain a confidential and orderly remote work area.
  • Assist with obtaining and updating debtors contact information.
  • Answer inbound calls from patients regarding payment assistance.
  • Place outbound calls to patients to resolve outstanding medical bills.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements within specific hospital or physician guidelines.
  • Work within a virtual team to accomplish productivity and collection goals.
  • Maintain compliance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and federal collection laws.
