Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in medical coding, revenue cycle management, or healthcare operations.
- Proven success leading large-scale, multi-site, or remote coding teams.
- Deep expertise in physician revenue cycle processes, coding workflows, and compliance standards.
- Strong experience driving quality improvement, productivity optimization, and operational performance initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in technology, product, and operations.
- Experience leading transformation or scaling initiatives, including automation or AI-enabled workflows preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate in complex, high-growth, and client-facing environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee end-to-end coding support operations across physician revenue cycle management functions.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure quality, productivity, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Manage and develop large, distributed teams including coding professionals, educators, and operational leaders.
- Partner with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to optimize workflows and implement automation and innovation initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, scalability, and measurable performance outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., CPT, ICD-10, compliance frameworks).
- Serve as a senior leader in client-facing discussions to support satisfaction, retention, and operational alignment.
- Lead transformation initiatives that enhance coding accuracy and revenue cycle effectiveness.
