- Solid backend engineering experience.
- Strong grasp of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Experience owning work end-to-end including monitoring and rollout.
- Confidence to contribute to architecture discussions and ask critical questions.
- Experience in a payments, fintech, or infrastructure context is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of backend features from scoping through to production.
- Design and deliver backend services that handle real payment volume.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and propose maintainable system designs.
- Monitor production impact, identify issues early, and drive incident resolution.
- Write high-quality, production-ready code.
- Contribute to engineering standards and technical team discussions.
- Collaborate on scoping sessions and code reviews within the team.
