Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active Georgia Special Education Teaching Certificate.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret student data.
- Receptive to receiving coaching on a regular basis from administrators.
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure student outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure special education and related services are provided per IEP team determinations.
- Communicate with parents and related service staff to coordinate therapies.
- Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and state-required documentation.
- Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings such as annual IEP meetings.
- Implement accommodations and modifications using assistive technology and supplemental curriculum.
- Collect data and work samples to monitor progress towards IEP goals.
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
- Maintain grade book and document all contacts and interventions.
